Welcome to Free-ID.net, our goal here is to provide you with useful information about our company that we hope makes it easier for you to do business with us. Free-ID has been serving the internet community as TabSystems since 2007.  TabSystems was started after a burglary at our founders place of employment. He had discovered there was no way to Identify items as belonging to someone that would be easy for either private individuals, pawn shops or law enforcement to check on ownership of personal belongings or business assets.

The straw that broke the camels back - purchasing back his work tools at a near by pawn shop. The pawn broker had purchased the items in good faith, but they were not properly marked for identification and had been sold to him within a day of being stolen.  That was the summer of 2007 when the idea for TabSystems was born. Originally, it was just an online repository for a few friends in the motion picture industry, where he worked, to post lost or stolen items. As more and more people joined this worked for a short while but there had to be a better way to do it.

After trying several concepts, our proprietary coding system was finally developed. With billions of possible combinations and the fact that your code is the same for all items that you own makes Free-ID codes very easy to use and recognise. With the advances in technology we are able to offer 24-7/365 day a year global coverage for your belongings.

Today we are Free-ID which more accurately describes us and what we do. We provide private property and business asset identification and recovery services on a  worldwide basis  with many services  free of charge  while at the same time maintaining the privacy of the owner, We also have available identification  products  and  recovery services all at reasonable cost.
